The Union Cabinet has approved four monumental railway multitracking projects with a total investment of ₹18,658 crore. These projects aim to expand the Indian Railways network by 1,247 kilometers, covering 15 districts across Maharashtra, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh.     • Reduction in oil imports by 95 crore liters annually.

    • Decrease in CO2 emissions by 477 crore kilograms—equivalent to planting 19 crore trees.
