Key Points of Congress's Manifesto For 2024 Elections!


The Congress's manifesto for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, titled 'Nyay Patra', focuses on five pillars of justice: 
  • Yuva Nyay (justice for youth)
  • Kisan Nyay (justice for farmers)
  • Naari Nyay (justice for women)
  • Shramik Nyay (justice for workers)
  • Hissedari Nyay (justice for equity)

The manifesto also includes several key announcements and guarantees:

1. Conducting a nationwide Socio-Economic and Caste Census to enumerate castes and sub-castes and their socio-economic conditions.
2. Passing a constitutional amendment to raise the 50% cap on reservations for SC, ST, and OBC.
3. Providing a legal guarantee for the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for farmers.
4. Implementing a nationwide minimum wage of ₹400 per day.
5. Ensuring financial assistance to marginalized sections of society and providing the 'right to employment' for the youth.
6. Abolishing the Agnipath programme and directing the Armed Forces to resume normal recruitment.
7. Implementing a new right to apprenticeship act to provide one year of apprenticeship to every diploma holder or graduate below the age of 25.
8. Launching an urban employment programme to guarantee work for the urban poor.
9. Immediately restoring full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.
10. Filling nearly 30 lakh vacancies in sanctioned posts at various levels in the central government.

The manifesto also emphasizes the need to eliminate poverty, improve the fortunes of 23 crore people, and promote national security by restoring status quo on the country's borders with China.
